UNITED KINGDOM - 2019 Cubiies are vegan, tooth friendly gummy sweets primarily made from vegetables aimed at 5–12 year olds. They are made of pureed by product produce, polyols, modified starch and natural flavourings.
Veggie Vibes is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with core values to create, collaborate and care. We focus on confectionery done differently, with that in mind we have created vegan, no added sugar, gummy sweets made primarily of vegetable purées with two smoothie flavours - we have called these Cubiies. Both of the Cubiies products feature an educational character aimed at increasing children’s awareness of healthy eating and environmental sustainability. The sourcing of our vegetables will be done through a combination of sourcing out of specification or surplus produce and donations will be sought where possible with the aim to reduce food waste in the supply chain. In addition to this our packaging is made out of a biodegradable, compostable film manufactured in the UK. The sweets will be available as a healthy snack alternative as a 5 portioned multi-pack from retailers and individual packs from coffee shops and schools. Our product will be distributed alongside our educational programme in primary schools which will be aimed at delivering key sustainability messages. Cubiies is positioned in the market alongside Haribo, Bear Claws and The Fruit Factory however our products are differentiated with what is currently available by having no added sugar, a high vegetable content whilst maintaining a gummy texture resembling that of Haribo Gold Bears. These factors make our product more attractive to parents and healthier for their children.
